2026 PRESEASON CAMP INFO

GENERAL INFO

Parents are welcome to attend practices, but no filming is allowed. Please reach out to your student-athlete to find out practice times.

MONDAY, AUGUST 10 (INFORMAL PARENT GATHERING)

An informal parent gathering will be at Abby’s Pizza in Newberg at 5:00 PM. A donor has agreed to pay for the first five pizzas and all drinks. This is a casual, drop-in style get together. No coaches will be present. This is a excellent chance to meet other parents and start building community.

TUESDAY, AUGUST 11 (REPORT DAY)

First year (all incoming freshmen and transfer) players can start checking in at 12:00 PM in the quad on campus.

12:00 - 3:00 PM: All player check in and move in to dorms (if living on campus).

3:30 PM: First year player meeting in Duke 205.

3:30 PM: First year parent meeting in Hoover 105. Athletic director Adam Puckett will be there to speak.

4:45 PM: Start arriving at Canyon Commons for the first year player/parent welcome dinner.

6:30 – 7:15 PM: First year players and parents have free time to talk and say goodbyes.

7:30 PM: Entire team meeting in Hoover 105.

AUGUST 25-26 (BREAKAWAY)

The Bruins will leave campus on Tuesday, August 25, at 12:00 PM for a trip to Camp Wi-Ne-Ma in Cloverdale, Oregon. They will be gone for over 24 hours for a team bonding trip. The players will turn in their cell phones and not have access to them for over 24 hours. The team will arrive back on campus at approximately 3:00 PM on Wednesday, August 26.

SATURDAY, AUGUST 29

The Bruins will scrimmage at 7:00 PM and will have popsicles post game. Parents and fans are encouraged to come.

2026 SEASON & GAME INFO

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

The team’s first day of school is Monday, August 31. The team will begin their normal, in-season afternoon practice/meeting schedule this week.

HOME GAME TAILGATING

The Bruin Football Association has reserved parking spots at Stoffer Family Stadium for pregame tailgating. BFA Parent Club President Jennifer Raever will send out more info. These are no host gatherings. Please note that alcoholic beverages are prohibited on GFU’s campus. These are a great way to get to know other parents and build community amongst the parents and fans.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 5 (FIRST HOME GAME)

The Bruins open the 2026 season at home against Redlands. Kickoff is set for 7:00 PM.

2026 exhibition schedule

GENERAL INFO

The Bruins will host two exhibition games in October. These contests are scheduled to help develop players that don’t get regular playing time.

claremont-mudd-scripps trip info

GENERAL INFO

The Bruins play in Claremont, Calif., on Saturday, September 19. Approximately 60 players will make the travel roster, which will be announced by Tuesday, September 15. Following the game at CMS, the players will attend a Angels baseball game. Parents are welcome to join, but must purchase their own tickets. The team will be sitting in sections 347 and 348. The team is staying at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Brea North Orange County (900 E Birch St; Brea, CA)

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 18

6:30 AM: Depart campus for PDX

10:38 AM: Alaska flight 588 from PDX to SNA (John Wayne Airport)

1:20 PM: Arrive at SNA

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 19

12:00 PM: Game at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps

6:38 PM: Team will attend the Angels game vs. Minnesota

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 20

7:00 AM: Depart from hotel

11:03 AM: Alaska flight 1355 from LAX to PDX
